Welcome to Craft Ideas Daily!

Hope you enjoy this craft idea 💗

I’ve started making some simple jewelry and I’d love to even sell it one day. This book is small and easy to flip through. It’s a comprehensive resource book for basic wire jewelry techniques with lots of good tips. I appreciated the info on which width of wire to use for different projects, I’ve been unsure about that for a while. I also liked the tips for how to close the jump rings, which my daughter uses for her polymer clay projects, too. I was happy to see how to make head and eye pins, now I won’t need to bother buying those anymore since it’s so simple.

I like having this little book to keep with me while working on making jewelry, it’s an excellent reference book. It addresses the types of knots and the benefits of each, including when using different kinds of cords, leather, etc.  There are ideas for knotting with or without using tools and good tips like lighting and magnification. I thought the info on why you might want to knot in between beads was interesting and I can definitely see why I would use that in certain circumstances.

I found a lot of good tips for stringing beaded jewelry and I also learned about some things that I have been wondering about. The book tells which types of metal are hypoallergenic, common necklace lengths and other things that I appreciate having all in one easy reference book. There are clear illustrations for the steps of using different jewelry tools to finish off the necklace or bracelet. It was interesting to find out more about the different types of beads, like crystal, glass, gems, metal and more.
